COVER REVEAL: No Limits by Ellie Marney

Gooooooooooooood morning! Today is a VERY exciting day because we are joining in on a cover reveal! I use VERY because 1. this is our first ever cover reveal and 2. it’s for a book by one of my fave Aussie authors. So I’m basically bouncing off the walls right now. Well, as much I can be on a cold winter’s morning with no coffee in my system yet. 🙂

Both Annette and I love the Every trilogy to pieces (we book toured Every Breath throughout 2015/2016) but mate, I have been impatiently waiting for this book ever since Ellie announced that she was writing it. I am a HUUUUUGE Harris Derwent fan (see here, here and here) (and more on that below) and I can’t waaaaaaaaaaaait to read this book in August. But before I start listing every reason why in minute detail, please scroll down and get a load of this delightful cover.

And here’s the blurb:

New Australian YA romantic crime from the author of the award-winning Every series…

Boozer, brawler, ladies’ man – nineteen-year-old Harris Derwent is not a good guy.

His one attempt to play the hero – helping out his old flame, Rachel Watts – has landed him in hospital. Now injured, broke, and unemployed, he’s stuck back in the country, at his father’s mercy. Harris needs to pay off his dad’s debts, and fast. But working as a runner for a drug cartel is a dangerous path – especially if Harris agrees to narc…

Eighteen-year-old Amita Blunt is the perfect police sergeant’s daughter – practical, trustworthy, and oh-so responsible. Getting involved in Harris’s case was never part of the plan. But working at the hospital, she’s invisible – which makes her the ideal contact for a boy feeding information back to the police…

Harris and Amie’s connection is sizzling hot – but if the cartel finds out about them, things could get downright explosive. Backed into a corner, with everything at stake, it’s time for Harris and Amie to find out if love really has no limits…

“A novel of bruising empathy and excitable romance…This is modern Australia for so many growing up on the periphery right now, picked apart with exquisite and smart insight from one of Australia’s best crime and YA writers.” – Danielle Binks, Begin End Begin: A #LoveOzYA Anthology.

The release date is Monday 14 August 2017. Pre-orders will be available from 1 August.

The book will be released on ebook and print on demand on Amazon – readers can order their copies (including print copies) there. More platforms to follow.

If you, for whatever bizarre reason, have not read the Every trilogy, I’d suggest getting on that right about yesterday. Sadly, Harris doesn’t appear as a character until the last book (Every Move) but trust me when I say that you’re making an excellent life choice. And look, because I’m super nice, I’m going to include the page numbers of my top 5 fave Harris moments below. When I say I’m a fan, I’m being pretty goddamn serious. I mean, (and this is gonna sound really bad) I could give a shit about Mycroft and Rachel when I was reading Every Move. Every page, I was like SHUT UP I DON’T CARE WHERE’S HARRIS. …Okay no, I did care about Mycroft and Rachel. But you know. ANYWAY, here’s those page numbers, with a comment that may or may not make sense (depends if you’ve read it):

  • pg 22 – flipping a town off, be still my beating heart.
  • pg 52 – back. muscles.
  • pg 76 – well he can be my self defense teacher anytime.
  • pg 95,96,97,98 – dancing!! on!! his!! toes!!
  • pg 272 – ‘you taste like sunlight’ FUCKKKKKKK OFFFFFFFFFF

Alright, that’s enough outta me. Be sure to check out the other No Limits cover reveal posts going up this morning and mark 14/8/17 down in your diaries as a Very Important #LoveOzYA book release day. Or No Limits release day. Whatever blows your dress up.

WOOOOOO YEEEEEEAAH HARRIS DERWENT.

– Rachel.
