On February 23rd, 2014, we set off on a new tome travel of Simmone Howell’s ‘Girl Defective’. Fortunately for us, Simmone had already mapped out the locations on Google Maps. You can view this here. This map, combined with a re-read and a very helpful list that Simmone kindly provided us with, allowed us to map out Girl Defective in photo form. We are very happy to share it with you all.
“Hanging out with Quinn meant walking down the Windsor end of Chapel Street, drinking coffee and looking in op shops. It meant watching her fist-bump skeevy bums and admiring her swagger and wondering how she got to cultivate a walk like that.” – pg 159
So either our photography skills improved dramatically over the course of the day, or we stole this photo from Google (hint: our photography skills stayed the same). We did a drive-by photo because, for those of you who haven’t been there, Chapel street is a pain in the buttocks to park on (felt like we were back in Sydney. Hey-Oh!). Aaaaand the photo was shite. So here is our stolen photo that is much better than our actual photo. It would have been cool if we had stopped and had coffee and looked at op shops like Quinn and Sky, but it was the end of the day and we were pretty tired by then. Next time maybe.
