‘He’s outside the front of the Mobil petrol station ten minutes later…’ -pg 11
So clearly, this is not a Mobil petrol station. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to photograph this location in all it’s glorious, original state. Which is sad really, as The Piper’s Son was only published in 2010, so it really just goes to show how rapidly 7/11’s are taking over the world. But annnnywaaay. We discovered this disturbing development earlier on in the week while visiting the RPA (or driving past, if you will). However, my ever-present craving for a slurpee needed to be satisfied so when we eventually ventured out on our second last night to get one, we thought screw it, let’s get a photo anyway.
